Lunch & Learn: Monitoring and Evaluation for Public Servants

February 27 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

How can we better measure the progress and effectiveness of our work?

Join us on February 27 for a Lunch & Learn on monitoring and evaluation. Led by Merlin Chatwin, this session will look at current challenges and opportunities in monitoring and evaluation, and dive into a theory-based evaluation approach called contribution analysis. We will review how to track implementation progress though periodic data collection, as well as how to determine the effectiveness of your program or initiative.

Participants will walk away with the tools to create an impact assessment framework that empowers people to be ambitious and do their best work.

This will be an interactive, discussion-based event, so please come with your questions!

This event is for government members only. Members can sign up here.

Lunch will be provided! Please tell us in the RSVP form if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Merlin Chatwin is the Monitoring and Evaluation Lead at Code for Canada. He is also an urban geography PhD candidate and Senior Fellow with the Centre for Urban Policy and Local Governance. Recently, he worked with the Ministry of Education and the Open Government office with the Province of Ontario. Prior to that, he spent four years working on local government reforms in Ghana.
